COVID-19 Photography Policy

We can only imagine the stress that this pandemic is causing you considering the work and effort that go into planning your dream wedding! BUT, we want you to know that we’ve got your back and a plan, and we hope we can bring you more peace of mind during this uncertain period.

Rescheduling

Should you need to reschedule, postpone, or cancel your event or session, your first point of call should be your insurer if you have it for your event or session. They should be able to talk you through a position that is specific to your policy if the government declares a lockdown, or if the event or session has to be postponed or canceled due to COVID-19 or other force majeure event. They will also let you know your next steps, which will help when you chat with us and your other vendors.

As you know any payments that you have already made for our services is non-refundable. If the event or session is canceled or rescheduled, whether as a result of government decree, third party choice (venue, etc) or personal choice, we cannot refund this payment. Any payments received will be converted to studio credit upon cancellation. That credit must be used within 365 days of cancellation. That said, you will not be responsible for any outstanding balance upon cancellation. The studio credit can go toward rescheduling your date if this is the case, or it can be used toward another photo session such as an elopement, photo session, products, gift certificates, or something else we can agree upon to apply the credit to. We think it’s important for everyone to know where we stand and so that you can communicate it clearly to your insurer should you need to.

Please note that there is no fee for rescheduling your wedding as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health & Wellness

If you or your future partner present symptoms of COVID-19, and if you choose to go against quarantine recommendations and still have your event or session, that you let us know. It is our position that in this circumstance, the most responsible thing to do is to immediately cancel the event to reduce the community spread of this virus to your guests and vendors. As photographers, we spend a lot of time with our clients and are in very close contact with them all day. A pandemic falls under the Force Majeure in our agreement and and it contains provisions that provide the right to cancel services without penalty in case of pandemic exposure in order to keep our communities safe.

We are also committed to our client’s health and well being, so if our health is compromised we will not put then or their family and guests at risk.  We will, however, work with our extensive network of local wedding photographers to find a healthy substitute. This is already addressed in our agreement, however, in the past, we might have moved forward with servicing the events after medicating ourselves to mask our symptoms.  In this current climate, if we had any flu-like symptoms we’d err on the side of caution and find you quality substitutes.
